The pullets are golden red with white in neck, wings, and tail. Cockerels are mostly white with red in neck, wings, and tail. Being a small-bodied bird, it consumes less feed but produces more eggs. Extremely cold hearty the Golden Red can lay year-round anywhere in the country. Pullets start laying around 16-18 weeks and peak at 26 weeks.

Let customers speak for us
from 67 reviewsamazing as always. Thank you
They are doing fine and looking forward to getting out on grass!
Since the chickens are only 2 weeks old it’s difficult to determine how they will be months from now but so far they are growing nicely and expect they will be as advertised.
Excellent growth and all arrived healthy
We received our chicks via USPS. We recommend informing your local post office in advance before delivery to confirm that the USPS will call you early the day of their arrival. We are grateful to say that all 50 chicks arrived safely. We provided water with recommended electrolytes immediately upon unpacking them into the brooders. We unfortunately had one die the following evening and were unsure of the circumstances. However we also understand that there is a risk (we typically estimate 10% breakage) of "failure to thrive" so we were not that surprised. Overall we were happy with Reich's Poultry at this point. We alos appreciated to speak with an actual human being when we called to inquire about our order. We will provide feedback if possible over the next few weeks as they progress towards FREEZER CAMP.
I appreciate the excellent peeps and customer support. The Cornish crosses are growing like crazy. They are the best meat chickens I’ve ever raised
Cornish
We have always been pleased with the Broad White Turkeys from Reich’s Poultry. We were drawn to your poultry because of higher costs at other larger hatcheries and we’ve been wonderfully satisfied. Poults are thriving! Elaine from Twin Brook Camillus Farm, LLC.
We got 16 turkeys, 150 Cornish cross, and 15 reds. We’ve had remarkable survival rates, only issue we have had this year was one shipment the postal service “misplaced”. Reich refunded the losses instantly. Great hatchery to do work with ont rack to have 149 Cornish cross in the freezer, 16 turkeys in the freezer and 12 of our reds made it in spite of the post office. Thanks for a great season Reichs!
Been ordering from Reich's for over 20 years. Top notch all the way around. Great customer service too!
All my chicks arrived healthy and have stayed so. I was able to track my order through ShopPay, which was very helpful, as this was the first time I’ve had chicks delivered through the mail. They came exactly on time. I also messaged with Reich’s a few times with questions about my order and delivery, and they were very quick to respond and provided helpful information and advice. I’m very satisfied. Thank you!
Nice birds, good prices, great service
